M20-2.5 Zinc-Plated Class 8 Hex Nuts

This pack contains ten new M20-2.5 hex nuts made from Class 8 steel with a zinc-plated finish. They are designed to secure the threaded portion of matching machine screws and bolts in general hardware applications. The coarse 2.5 mm pitch suits standard metric coarse threads.

Suited for M20 coarse-thread fastening.

These nuts suit builders and mechanics who need a bulk supply of M20 coarse-pitch fasteners rated to Class 8 strength. They are not suited for joints that require a fine-pitch thread, a higher property class, or a different corrosion coating.

Thread specification: M20 x 2.5 mm coarse pitch

The single specification that decides fit is the M20 diameter combined with the 2.5 mm coarse thread pitch. Only bolts or studs cut to that exact metric coarse series will engage correctly.

Questions about this item

What thread size and pitch do the M20-2.5 nuts require on the bolt?

These nuts fit M20 bolts with a 2.5 mm thread pitch; verify the bolt matches before installing.

What is the correct way to seat these Class 8 hex nuts?

Thread each nut on by hand until flush, then tighten with the correct spanner to the torque specified for the bolt grade; do not use impact tools.

When should the zinc-plated nuts be replaced?

Replace any nut that shows heavy white corrosion, stripped threads, or has been over-torqued; the zinc plating protects the steel until it is worn through.
