Product identity

These birch wood fluted dowel pins come in a 100-piece pack and suit woodworkers, furniture makers and hobbyists who need repeatable alignment for joints and assemblies. They are new stock from MIDWEST FASTENER CORP and intended for general hardware use.

Capacity and headroom

The hundred-count quantity covers multiple projects or a production run of dowel joints, while the fluted design helps distribute glue and relieve hydraulic pressure during insertion. Supply runs out when a job demands more than one hundred pins or a different diameter and length.

Proposition 65 notice

California Proposition 65 warnings indicate the product contains a chemical known to the state to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm; buyers subject to that regulation should factor the notice into their material selection.

Questions about this item

Will these birch fluted dowel pins align with existing 1/4-inch dowel holes in older furniture frames?

Yes, the pins are cut to a standard 1/4-inch diameter so they fit the same bored holes used in traditional dowel joints on older pieces.

How can I confirm the flutes are seating properly after I drive the pins into the aligned holes?

The flutes allow excess glue to escape; a tight joint with a thin, even glue line visible around each pin shows the flutes are working.

Does the 100-piece pack include any glue or drill bits, or must I buy those separately?

The box contains only the 100 birch wood fluted dowel pins; wood glue and a 1/4-inch drill bit for boring the matching holes are sold separately.
