What this nut does

This lock nut resists loosening when subjected to vibration and torque. The free-spinning washer distributes clamping force across the mating surface. It fits a 1/4"-20 thread and is made from steel with a zinc finish.

How it fits a build

The nut threads onto a 1/4"-20 bolt or stud and the integrated washer removes the need for a separate flat washer. Zinc plating provides corrosion resistance for indoor or sheltered outdoor assemblies. It suits automotive, machinery and general fabrication tasks.

Behaviour under load

The prevailing-torque design maintains clamping force during sustained vibration rather than only during initial tightening. Steel construction preserves thread integrity through repeated thermal cycles. The free-spinning washer prevents surface marring while the joint settles under continuous load.
