Hex Drive Threaded Insert M6

This M6 threaded insert from Midwest Fastener Corp installs with a hex drive and measures 13 mm in length. The zinc finish provides corrosion resistance for general-purpose fastening. It suits repair work, jig building and light fabrication where a reusable internal thread is needed.

Check thread and material compatibility

Verify that the host material can accept an M6 internal thread and that the 13 mm length suits the available depth. Confirm the installation tool matches the hex drive profile. Ensure the zinc coating is appropriate for the operating environment and any galvanic concerns.

Replaces damaged or missing M6 threads

Use this insert to restore stripped threads in metal, plastic or wood without replacing the whole part. It upgrades a plain clearance hole to a load-bearing female thread. The jump is worth it when re-tapping is impossible or when repeated assembly cycles demand a harder-wearing thread surface.
