Stainless Steel Shaft Collars 3PK

This pack contains three 18-8 stainless steel shaft collars. The components are supplied new and ready for installation in mechanical assemblies. They suit maintenance, repair and light fabrication tasks where a secure axial stop is required.

Fit for general shaft clamping.

Mechanics and hobbyists securing bearings, sprockets or pulleys on 3/8 inch shafts will find the set convenient. Builders who need high-precision preload, specialised surface treatments or non-standard bore diameters should look at other hardware ranges.

18-8 stainless steel construction

The 18-8 alloy provides corrosion resistance for indoor and mild outdoor environments. This material choice determines whether the collars meet the environmental demands of the intended assembly.

Questions about this item

Will the 18-8 stainless steel shaft collars need any maintenance or replacement later?

The 18-8 stainless steel resists corrosion, so the collars typically do not require scheduled maintenance or replacement under normal use.

What limit shows up first when the shaft collars are under sustained load?

The holding strength of the set screw on the shaft is the practical limit during continuous operation.

Do the shaft collars generate noise, heat or draw power when running all day?

They are passive mechanical parts with no moving components, so they produce no noise, no heat and consume no power.
