3/16 in Aluminium Blind Rivets
These 3/16 in diameter aluminium blind rivets are designed for fastening sheet metal, plastic or composite panels when only one side of the joint is accessible. They suit automotive repair, HVAC ducting and general fabrication work where a permanent, vibration-resistant connection is required.
Dome head and mandrel design
The dome head distributes clamping force across a wider surface, reducing pull-through on thin materials. The supplied mandrel draws the rivet body tight before snapping off, leaving a clean, flush finish without secondary finishing steps.
Installs with a standard rivet tool
Insert the rivet into a pre-drilled hole, engage the mandrel with a hand or pneumatic riveter, and squeeze until the mandrel breaks. The main failure mode is an oversized hole, which prevents the rivet from expanding fully and leaves a loose joint.

Questions about this item
Will the aluminum mandrel need replacement after repeated use?
The mandrel snaps off during installation and is discarded; each rivet is single-use so no mandrel maintenance is required.
What grip-range limit stops the rivet from clamping thicker panels?
The 1/2 in length sets the maximum grip range; panels thicker than that will not clamp fully.
Does the aluminum body heat up during all-day riveting?
Installation is a quick mechanical pull; the rivet itself generates no sustained heat during continuous use.
