Zinc Plated Steel Lock Pins

These zinc plated steel round wire lock pins come in a pack of ten. They suit maintenance, fabrication and assembly tasks that need a removable positive lock. The 1/4 inch diameter and two inch length fit matching holes in brackets, linkages and fixtures. Buyers who need a different diameter or a non zinc finish should look elsewhere.

Pack Quantity and Corrosion Resistance

The ten piece pack covers multiple connection points or provides spares for recurring jobs. Zinc plating resists surface rust in shop and outdoor environments. It is not a substitute for stainless steel in continuous salt spray or chemical exposure. Applications that demand higher shear strength or a threaded locking mechanism are outside the scope of this pin type.

Model 52645 Identification

The manufacturer part number 52645 identifies this exact pin configuration across Midwest Fastener catalogues and invoices. Quote the number when reordering or verifying specifications against a bill of materials. No other dimensions, grades or coatings are implied by this reference.

Questions about this item

Will these 1/4" diameter lock pins fit the existing holes in my current equipment?

Each pin measures 1/4" in diameter and 2" in length, so they will match holes drilled for that size.

How can I verify the zinc plating is intact after installation?

Inspect each pin for a uniform silver-grey finish with no bare steel showing; the plating should cover the full length of the wire and the loop.

The pack contains 10 pins — are any retaining clips or washers included?

The package supplies only the 10 round-wire lock pins; no clips, washers or other hardware are bundled.
