Essential Hitch Pin Clips

A pack of 10 zinc-plated steel hitch pin clips designed for securing round shafts such as axles and clevis pins. The R-shaped spring wire construction provides a reusable fastening solution for automotive, agricultural and general hardware applications. Suitable for DIYers and professionals needing reliable pin retention.

Practical Limits of Spring-Wire Fasteners

The clips rely on spring tension to stay in place, so they can work loose under sustained vibration or heavy shock loads. They are intended for axial retention only and do not resist significant side forces on the secured shaft. Corrosion resistance comes from the zinc plating, which will degrade over time in harsh environments.

Critical Specification: 3/16" Wire Diameter

The 3/16 inch wire diameter determines which pin holes the clip can engage; it will not fit holes sized for smaller or larger wire clips. Buyers must verify that their clevis pin or axle hole matches this diameter before purchase. The 3-3/4 inch overall length sets the maximum span the clip can bridge.

Questions about this item

How many clips come in the 60607 pack?

The 60607 pack contains 10 zinc-plated steel hitch pin clips for securing shafts and clevis pins.

What does the 3/16 inch size mean for my equipment?

How does the zinc-plated steel construction hold up in use?

Zinc plating resists corrosion on the hardened wire, so the spring tension that keeps the R-shaped clip locked stays reliable through weather and vibration.
