Brass Cotter Pins 40 Pack

This pack contains forty brass cotter pins measuring 1/16 inch by 3/4 inch. They are designed to secure metal components by inserting the pin and bending the two tines. The product is new and manufactured by Midwest Fastener Corp.

Simple Hand Installation

Installation requires inserting the pin through aligned holes and bending the split tines outward with pliers or fingers. The soft brass material bends easily but can shear if forced through misaligned or undersized holes. Ensure the tines are fully spread to prevent the pin from working loose under vibration.

For General Fastening Needs

These pins suit mechanics, hobbyists and maintenance tasks requiring a removable locking fastener for clevis pins, castle nuts or drilled bolts. The brass construction resists corrosion but lacks the shear strength of steel pins. Buyers needing high-load structural fastening or a different diameter and length combination should look at alternative pin specifications.
