Aluminium cotter pins 40-pack

This pack contains forty aluminium split pins measuring 3/32 inch by 1 inch. They are designed to secure metal components by inserting the pin and bending the two tines. The quantity suits maintenance kits, workshops or hobby projects needing a ready supply.

Sustained fastening reliability

Aluminium resists corrosion so the pins remain functional in damp or outdoor conditions over long periods. The material is soft enough to bend by hand yet holds its shape once deformed. Repeated vibration does not loosen the bent tines under normal loads.

Replaces steel pins where rust is a concern

Use these instead of plain steel cotter pins when the assembly faces moisture, salt or chemicals. The upgrade is worth it for trailer couplings, marine hardware or any joint where corrosion would weaken a steel pin over time.

Questions about this item

Do the 3/32" x 1" aluminum cotter pins generate any noise, heat or power draw when left in place all day?

The pins are passive metal fasteners with no moving parts, so they produce no noise, no heat and draw no power once installed.

What tools or components must I already have to install these 3/32" x 1" aluminum cotter pins?

You need a drilled hole of the matching diameter and a pair of pliers to spread the two tines after insertion.

Will these 3/32" x 1" aluminum cotter pins work with the older steel castle nuts and drilled bolts I already keep in stock?

Yes, the pins fit any standard drilled fastener of the same nominal size, so they are compatible with existing steel castle nuts and bolts.
