Threaded wing nut M7-1.00

This M7-1.00 wing nut features a steel body with zinc plating for corrosion resistance. The integrated wings allow fingertip tightening and loosening without tools. A pack of five supplies enough hardware for multiple fastening points.

Replaces standard hex nuts needing tools

Unlike a conventional hex nut, this wing nut removes the need for a spanner or socket during frequent adjustments. The jump is worth it on jigs, clamps or battery terminals where access is awkward and quick release matters.

Handles hand-tightened joints

The zinc-plated steel threads hold securely under repeated hand tightening and light vibration. It runs out when high clamping force or fine torque control is required, as wings limit leverage compared to a wrench-driven nut.

Questions about this item

What thread size and pitch does the M7-1.00 wing nut require for mounting?

The nut uses a metric M7 thread with a 1.00 mm pitch, so it fits a matching M7-1.00 bolt or stud.

How do you install the wing nut correctly, and what common mistake should be avoided?

Thread it onto the M7-1.00 stud by hand using the extended wings; do not use pliers or wrenches, which can strip the zinc-plated threads.

When should the zinc-plated steel wing nuts be replaced?

Replace them if the zinc coating shows white corrosion, the wings bend, or the threads no longer grip the M7-1.00 stud securely.
