Safety Swivel Eyelets 8PK

The MIDWEST FASTENER 66205 pack contains eight safety swivel eyelets designed for securing loads or creating attachment points. They suit DIY users, riggers and maintenance crews who need ready-to-use hardware for light lifting or tie-down tasks.

Behaviour under sustained load

The eyelets rotate freely to prevent rope or chain twist during prolonged tension. Each unit maintains its rated capacity without deformation when used within the specified working load limit for straight pulls.

Installation and common issues

Each eyelet threads into a matching tapped hole or nut; no special tools are required beyond a wrench. The most frequent problem is cross-threading during insertion, which damages the threads and reduces holding strength.

Questions about this item

Does the 66205 swivel eyelet generate any noise or heat during continuous use?

These are passive metal eyelets with no moving parts that produce sound or heat, so they remain silent and cool regardless of how long they are under load.

What hardware must I already have to install the 66205 safety swivel eyelets?

You will need a compatible mounting point such as a bolt, pin or shackle that matches the eyelet's attachment hole, plus basic hand tools for tightening.

Will the 66205 eyelets work with older rigging components I already own?

The eyelets use a standard swivel-eye design that fits common legacy shackles, chains and tie-down points, allowing them to integrate with existing hardware.
