Steel linch pins for machinery and farm equipment

This pack supplies five steel linch pins sized at 7/16 inch diameter by 4 inches overall length. They secure clevis pins, hitch pins and similar shafts on trailers, implements and heavy-duty machinery. The zinc-plated finish resists corrosion in outdoor and workshop conditions.

Five-pack convenience for maintenance kits

The five-piece quantity lets operators keep spares in toolboxes, service trucks and workshop bins. Having multiple pins on hand reduces downtime when a pin is lost or damaged during field repairs. The manufacturer ships orders of $75 or more free, making bulk restocking economical for fleets.

7/16 inch diameter by 4 inch length

This single dimension set decides fitment: the pin must match a 7/16 inch hole and provide 4 inches of usable length. Buyers needing a different diameter, a shorter shank or a locking ring style will need a different part number.

Questions about this item

Will the 7/16 in diameter steel pins need replacement if the retaining ring wears out?

The pins are solid steel with an integral ring; no separate retaining ring is present to wear out, so replacement is only needed if the pin itself bends or corrodes.

What stops the pin from working first when used repeatedly on a 16 lb gate latch?

The limiting factor is shear strength of the 7/16 in steel shaft; repeated heavy impact can deform the pin before any other part fails.

Do the pins get hot or make noise when left in a vibrating tractor hitch all day?

Steel pins produce no heat and no audible noise under constant vibration; they simply transmit load without friction surfaces that could squeak.
