MIDWEST FASTENER CORP 70645 Zinc Plated Steel Hair Pin Clips 40PK

SKU CH-70DP-MTXMY

Pack of 40 zinc-plated steel hair pin clips secure shafts and clevis pins

  • Product typePins
  • Zinc plated steel resists corrosion for outdoor use
  • 40 clips per pack covers multiple repair jobs
  • .062 inch wire diameter fits standard clevis pins
  • R shaped spring wire locks securely on round shafts
  • New condition ensures reliable performance from first use

Purpose-fit fasteners

These zinc-plated steel hair-pin clips secure the ends of round shafts such as axles and clevis pins. The R-shaped spring wire snaps into place and holds under vibration. They suit agricultural, automotive and general maintenance tasks where a quick, reusable pin is needed.

Pack quantity and limits

The box contains 40 clips, giving enough pieces for multiple repairs or a small fleet. Each clip measures .062" wire diameter by 1-9/16" overall length, so it fits shafts that accept that size. Larger shafts or heavier loads will need a different diameter or a stronger retainer.

Upgrade path

The clips replace worn, bent or lost original pins on equipment that already uses this .062" x 1-9/16" form factor. The jump is worth it when the existing hardware shows corrosion or deformation, restoring positive retention without changing the mounting holes.

Questions about this item

Will the .062" diameter hair pin clips fit the clevis pins I already use on my trailer?

Each clip has a .062" wire diameter and 1-9/16" overall length; match those dimensions to your existing clevis pin holes to confirm fit.

How can I verify the zinc plated steel clips are seated correctly after installation?

The R-shaped clip should snap fully over the shaft with both legs gripping the pin; a visible gap or loose movement means it is not seated.

Does the 40 pack contain only the hair pin clips or are cotter pins also included?

The box contains 40 zinc plated steel hair pin clips only; no cotter pins or other fasteners are supplied.
