This pack contains twenty-five 1/4"-20 nylon hex nuts from Midwest Fastener Corp. They are designed to secure the threaded portion of machine screws and bolts in general hardware applications. Practical limits of nylon fastening

Nylon nuts are not suited for high-temperature environments or applications requiring high clamping force. The material can deform under sustained heavy loads and may degrade with prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light. They should not be used where metal-to-metal conductivity or structural-grade shear strength is required. Thread engagement must be sufficient to prevent stripping the softer nylon threads.
