Safety pin dimensions and pack size

These zinc-plated steel safety pins measure .120 inches in diameter and 2-3/4 inches in length. The pack contains six pins for general fastening tasks. They suit automotive workshops, maintenance crews and DIY users who need a secure temporary closure.

Clasp function and material limits

The spring-loaded clasp forms a closed loop that holds fabric, sheet material or light components in place while covering the sharp point. Zinc plating resists surface corrosion in dry indoor or covered outdoor use. The wire diameter and steel grade are not rated for structural loads, permanent tension or repeated heavy cycling.

Wire diameter as the selection criterion

The .120 inch wire size determines the maximum material thickness the pin can penetrate and the shear resistance it provides. Buyers who need a larger diameter, a different metal or a load-rated fastener should select another product.

Questions about this item

Will these .120" diameter pins fit the same hitch holes I already use?

The .120" wire diameter matches many standard hitch and linkage holes; check your existing hole size to confirm fit.

How can I verify the clasp locks securely after I close it?

Press the clasp until it clicks over the point; the loop should stay closed under hand pressure and the sharp tip must be fully covered.

Does the 6-pack include anything besides the six zinc-plated steel safety pins?

The pack contains six complete .120" x 2-3/4" safety pins with integrated spring and clasp; no extra parts are included.
