Zinc-plated steel cotter pins secure assemblies with split-tine locking, supplied in a 50-piece pack
A pack of fifty zinc-plated steel cotter pins measuring 1/8 inch by 1-3/4 inches. The split-pin design lets you secure bolts, clevis pins or shafts by bending the two tines after insertion. Suitable for automotive, agricultural and general mechanical assemblies where a simple, removable locking fastener is required.
Zinc plating provides a protective layer against corrosion in outdoor or under-vehicle environments. Each pin is formed from a single piece of steel so the tines resist snapping when bent with pliers. The 50-piece quantity keeps a workshop or toolbox stocked for repetitive tasks such as securing castle nuts on trailer axles or linkage pins on farm equipment.
The 1/8 inch diameter restricts use to holes drilled for that size; larger or smaller bores will not accept the pin. Once the tines are bent the pin is difficult to reuse without weakening the metal, so plan for replacement during routine maintenance. The length suits standard castle-nut depths but will not reach through thicker assemblies.

The 1/8 inch diameter pin is designed for a matching 1/8 inch drilled hole in the fastener or clevis.
The 1-3/4 inch length requires enough space beyond the hole to grip and bend both tines back flat against the part.
Use pliers to hold the pin body steady while bending each tine outward; skipping this step lets the pin spin and weakens the lock.
