  • Product typeNuts
  • Push-on installation speeds up assembly
  • Inward-facing flanges grip bolts without threads
  • Zinc-plated steel resists corrosion in harsh environments
  • Permanent hold requires cutting for removal
  • 8 mm x 24 mm size fits standard applications

Push nut retainer function

This push nut uses inward-facing flanges instead of threads to grip a bolt. It can be pushed or lightly tapped into position and requires cutting to remove. The design suits permanent or semi-permanent fastening tasks.

8 mm bolt compatibility

The retainer fits an 8 mm bolt and has a 24 mm overall dimension. Zinc-plated steel provides corrosion resistance for automotive and general hardware use. No special tools are needed for installation.

Single-use removal constraint

Under sustained vibration the flanges maintain their grip without loosening. Removal is destructive, so the part is not suited for assemblies that require regular disassembly. Buyers needing reusable fasteners should choose a threaded nut instead.

Questions about this item

How long before the zinc plating wears through under constant vibration?

The zinc coating protects the steel from corrosion during normal use; service life depends on the environment and load the retainer sees.

Do these push nuts get hot or make noise when left under load all day?

They are passive metal fasteners with no moving parts, so they generate no heat and no audible noise under sustained load.

What size bolt or stud must I already have for the 933608 to grip?

The retainer is made for an 8 mm diameter shaft; the bolt or stud must match that diameter for the inward-facing flanges to engage.
