Questions about this item

How do I install the 212731 gouge shield on my 80CX torch, and what step is often missed?

Thread the shield onto the torch head until it seats firmly against the retaining cap; the step many miss is verifying the 80 A rating matches the torch model before tightening.

What maintenance or replacement will the 212731 gouge shield need over time?

Inspect the shield after each heavy gouging session for erosion or cracking; replace it once the inner bore wears enough to affect plasma gas flow on the 60T, 80CX or 100T torches.
