Quarter-Inch Gate Valve for High-Pressure Media
The Milwaukee Valve 1182 is a quarter-inch gate valve rated Class 300 for gas, oil and water service. It handles operating pressures up to 1,000 psi and steam pressures to 300 psi. The bronze body and solid bronze wedge suit industrial and commercial piping systems.
Bronze Construction with Female NPT Threads
Body, bonnet, stem and wedge are all bronze, with copper-nickel seats and bronze seals. The union bonnet allows in-line maintenance without removing the valve from the line. Female NPT threads on the inlet and outlet connect directly to standard pipe fittings.
Rising-Stem Wheel Handle Shows Valve Position
The rising-stem design lifts the wheel handle as the gate opens, giving a clear visual indication of flow state. A Cv of 5.6 provides full-bore flow with minimal restriction. No accessories or software are included with the valve.

Questions about this item
What pressure does the Class 300 rating cap for steam service?
The valve is rated for 300 psi maximum steam pressure, which is the limit set by its Class 300 designation.
What thread type and size must the mating pipe have to connect to this valve?
The valve has a 1/4 inch female NPT connection, so the pipe needs a matching 1/4 inch male NPT thread.
How is the valve installed and what common step is missed with the union bonnet?
Thread the valve onto the male NPT pipe using sealant on the threads, then ensure the union bonnet nut is fully tightened to seal the bonnet joint before pressurising the line.
