This 1-1/2 inch bronze swing check valve uses a sweat-by-sweat connection for inline installation in plumbing systems. The bronze body and seat resist corrosion while the inline swing mechanism permits flow in one direction only. It suits residential and light-commercial water or steam lines where backflow prevention is required.

Sustained pressure and temperature performance

The valve handles continuous water pressure up to 200 psi at 150 degrees Fahrenheit and steam pressure up to 125 psi WSP. Operating temperatures range from minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 406 degrees Fahrenheit, so the bronze construction remains stable through long heating cycles. Cracking pressure stays between .500 and .750 psi, keeping the disc seated until forward flow overcomes the spring force.

Replaces worn swing check valves in existing sweat

This unit serves as a direct replacement when an older bronze swing check valve leaks or fails to close.
