Adjustable Width Shelf Riser

The Mind Reader E001 expandable shelf riser adds a second tier to cabinets, pantries, under-sink areas or countertops. It requires no tools, drilling or assembly — just place it on an existing shelf to double the vertical storage space. The unit suits renters, first-time homeowners and anyone wanting extra organisation without permanent changes.

Replaces Stacked Bowls Or Piled Cans

Instead of balancing plates on top of bowls or stacking tins until they topple, this riser creates a stable upper level that holds up to 50 lbs. The jump is worth it when a single shelf wastes headroom and you need a freestanding solution that can be moved or removed at any time.

Expands From 13.4 To 24.5 Inches Wide

The width adjusts continuously across that range to fit narrow bathroom vanities or deep kitchen pantries. Depth is fixed at 8.6 inches, so very deep cabinets may leave unused space at the back. Two tiers handle plates, mugs, canned goods or cleaning supplies, but tall items such as bottles or appliances may not clear the upper level.

Questions about this item

How much clearance height does the 34 inch tall riser need inside a cabinet?

The unit stands 34 inches high so the cabinet interior must provide at least that much vertical space between the lower shelf and the next surface above.

Does the 13.4 to 24.5 inch width adjustment lock in place or rely on friction?

The steel frame slides to the desired width and stays by friction; no screws, pins or tools are required to secure the setting.

Will the powder-coated steel shelves need recoating if used under a damp sink?

The baked-on powder coat resists rust and scratches in humid areas, so no recoating is expected under normal household use.
