Minelab Gold Monster 1000 Metal Detector

Gold Monster 1000 Metal Detector

The Minelab Gold Monster 1000 is a VLF metal detector built for gold prospecting. Its 45 kHz operating frequency and 24-bit signal processor target small nuggets across varied ground conditions. Fully automatic noise canceling, ground balance and sensitivity let beginners start detecting immediately. A touchpad interface provides a gold chance indicator, adjustable volume and selectable detect modes for iron rejection or deep all-metal searching.

Upgrade from Basic Detectors

This model replaces entry-level machines that lack automatic ground tracking or a dedicated gold frequency. The jump is worth it when mineralised or salty soils cause constant false signals on simpler units. Automatic adjustments remove the need for manual tuning while walking a site. Waterproof coil protection to three feet adds shallow-water capability that basic land-only detectors cannot offer.

5-Inch Coil Capacity and Limits

The included 5-inch coil fits tight brush and rocky crevices where larger loops cannot reach. It comfortably handles high-trash areas and delivers precise target separation on small gold. Sensitivity drops on deeper or larger targets beyond the coil's inherent range. Users needing wider ground coverage or maximum depth on big nuggets will find the small coil restrictive.
