A built-in repeater extends the mesh network up to 150 ft in open air.

It pairs with Z-Wave certified hubs such as SmartThings, Hubitat, Vera, Wink, Fibaro, HomeSeer, Ring and 2GIG using S2 SmartStart QR-code provisioning. Voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant requires one of those hubs; the plug cannot connect directly to an Echo Plus.
