What this unit is

The Minuteman OEPD2420V62-HW is a hardwired Power Distribution Unit that delivers 24 NEMA 5-15/20R outlets from a single 20A feed. It is built for vertical 0U mounting in a 1U rack space and includes a 15 ft input cord for flexible placement in server rooms and network closets.

Who it suits and who it does not

This PDU fits administrators who need high-density, basic power distribution without network monitoring or switching functions. Installers who require a plug-and-play cordset rather than a permanent hardwire connection should look at units with standard input plugs.

The specification that decides fit

The hardwire input connector and 20A maximum current rating determine whether the unit matches the facility electrical infrastructure and the upstream circuit protection.

Questions about this item

What does the 20 A rating mean for the 24 NEMA 5-15/20R outlets?

The 20 A hardwired feed sets the total current budget; all 24 outlets share that limit, so combined draw must stay at or below 20 A.

How does the hardwired input affect installation?

The unit has no plug; the 15 ft cord is terminated for direct connection to a 20 A branch circuit, requiring an electrician or qualified installer.

What space does the 0U vertical form factor need in a rack?

It mounts vertically along the side rails using the 0U style, leaving the 1U horizontal rack spaces free for other equipment.
