Compatibility
This converter connects PlayStation 1, 2 and 3 consoles to modern HDMI displays. It outputs video at 1080p or 720p without requiring drivers or external power. The unit is designed solely for Sony PlayStation systems and will not work with other game consoles.
Setup requirements
Your console must use the standard PlayStation multi-out port found on PS1, PS2 and PS3 models. The display needs an HDMI input capable of accepting 720p or 1080p signals. No software installation is needed; the device operates on a plug-and-play basis.
Operation
The converter draws power directly from the console, so no separate adapter is required. It processes NTSC 3.58 and NTSC 4.43 input formats and outputs a 16:9 image that can be switched to 4:3 if the television supports it. The unit performs signal conversion only and does not enhance the original video quality.

Questions about this item
Does the Mixa converter come with the HDMI cable I need to reach my TV?
The box contains the converter unit and a user manual; an HDMI cable is not included and must be purchased separately.
Should I set the output to 720p or 1080p for my PlayStation 2?
Both 720p and 1080p are supported; choose 1080p for modern displays or 720p if your screen handles scaling better.
Will the picture look sharper than the original composite output on a 1080p screen?
The converter transfers the video signal without enhancing quality, so the image remains at the console's native resolution.
