MK MORSE CO
Seven carbide-tipped hole cutters cover bolt-clearance sizes from 11/16" to 1-1/16" and include a stepped pilot drill, ejector spring and hex key
The MK Morse CTD01 kit supplies seven carbide-tipped hole cutters for drilling metal. Diameters cover bolt-clearance sizes of 11/16", 13/16", 15/16" and 1-1/16". The set includes a stepped pilot drill, ejector spring and hex key. It is aimed at mechanical contractors and maintenance crews who need ready-to-use sizing.
Electricians, HVAC installers and fabricators who drill mild steel, stainless or aluminium will find the range convenient. Workers who only need a single diameter or who cut non-metallic materials should choose individual bits instead. The kit does not address materials outside its metal-cutting design.
The four included cutter sizes match common bolt-hole requirements from 11/16" through 1-1/16". This specific diameter spread determines whether the kit covers the fastener sizes used on a given job.

Mount the cutter in the drill chuck, insert the CTDP stepped pilot drill (167000) to centre the hole, then secure the CTDS ejector spring (167017) with the supplied hex key — forgetting the spring causes the slug to jam.
The CTDP stepped pilot drill (167000) and CTDS ejector spring (167017) are supplied as spare items in the kit; they wear first and should be swapped when the pilot dulls or the spring loses tension.
Heat buildup in the carbide tips dulls the cutting edges before the pilot or spring fail, so pause to let the cutter cool and use cutting fluid to extend tip life.
