Mid-Back Executive Chair

The Modway Jive is a mid-back executive office chair built for desk workers who want posture support and a clean gray vinyl finish. Its ribbed back and padded seat cushion are shaped to encourage a 90-degree wrist angle while typing. The chair ships new and requires assembly before use.

Height-Adjustable Tilt Mechanism

A pneumatic lift raises the seat from 35 to 38 inches high while a tension knob and tilt lock let you set the back angle and resistance. Five dual-wheel casters on a chrome-plated aluminum base roll smoothly on hard floors or low-pile carpet without added noise.

Compact Chrome Base Footprint

The 26-inch square footprint fits tight corners and small home offices, freeing floor space for a narrow desk or storage unit. Fixed padded armrests stay level through the height range, so they clear most desk aprons without adjustment. Buyers who need a headrest, mesh back or fully adjustable arms should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the five dual-wheel casters to the chrome-plated aluminum base, and which step is most often missed?

Insert each caster stem firmly into the base sockets until they click; the step most often missed is pressing hard enough to fully seat all five casters.

What part of the vinyl cushion or padded seat will need replacement first with daily use?

The padded vinyl seat cushion typically shows wear before the ribbed back, so plan to replace the seat pad when it loses firmness.

At what point does the height-adjustable gas lift reach its limit during sustained use?

The gas lift stops at the maximum 38" height setting; beyond that the chair cannot rise further.
