Core Rulebook for Sci-Fi Role-Playing

The Traveller Core Rulebook Update 2022 is a complete tabletop role-playing game from Mongoose Publishing. It provides the full rules framework for campaigns set in a far-future universe of interstellar travel and exploration. Designed for players aged 14 and older, it supports both new groups and veterans of the original classic system.

2022 Edition Updates and Content Depth

This fully revised edition introduces numerous rules updates and a new interior layout with high-tier artwork. It contains everything required to create characters, equip starships, and resolve encounters across thousands of worlds. The single volume handles character generation, combat, trade, and world-building without needing supplementary core books.

Tabletop Requirements and Creative Freedom

The book functions as a standalone system requiring only dice, paper, and imagination to play. It imposes no proprietary apps, digital subscriptions, or mandatory miniatures, freeeing groups to run sessions anywhere. It does not support integrated video-chat tools or automated character builders, so remote play relies on external platforms.
