Multizone Bluetooth Receiver

The Monoprice 113358 adds a wireless source to a distributed audio system. It receives a stream from a paired device and converts it for transmission over CAT6 cable. The unit fits a standard single-gang decora wall box for a clean, integrated installation. A no-logo front panel keeps the appearance neutral for professional deployments.

CAT6 Integration and Converter Needs

Audio travels over CAT6 to eliminate interference on long runs, connecting directly to the 14524 6x4 Multizone Controller without conversion. For the 10761 6-zone Controller or other systems with RCA inputs, the 13356 RJ45 to RCA Converter is required to complete the signal path. This receiver functions as a source keypad, designated 13358, within that ecosystem.

Installers Building Wired Multiroom Systems

This product suits installers adding a local Bluetooth input to an existing CAT6-based multizone controller. It does not suit users wanting a standalone Bluetooth amplifier for passive speakers. Buyers without a compatible multizone controller or the necessary CAT6 infrastructure should look at alternative wireless audio adapters.

Questions about this item

What is the first limitation you hit when streaming Bluetooth audio continuously through the 113358?

The Bluetooth source device's battery life and wireless range become the practical limits, as the 113358 itself has no internal storage or processing bottleneck for the S/PDIF conversion.

How much heat or noise does the 113358 produce when powered all day in a rack?

The unit weighs only .3 and contains no fan or amplifier stage, so it runs silently and generates negligible heat even during continuous operation.

Which existing component must I already own to feed the 113358's CAT6 output into a legacy stereo preamp?

You need the 13356 Multizone RJ45 to RCA Converter to translate the CAT6 audio signal into analogue RCA inputs on your preamp.
