40-Watt Wall Mount Amplifier

The Monoprice 136374 is a new 40-watt wall-mount music amplifier designed for whole-home audio systems. Its sleek decora finish blends with room decor while hiding all cables inside the wall for a clean installation. It delivers clean, refined sound with ultra-low total harmonic distortion of .03 percent at one watt into eight ohms. Bluetooth 2.1, USB, microSD, FM radio, and line-level AUX inputs provide versatile playback options.

Who This Suits and Who It Does Not

This amplifier suits installers wanting a compact, in-wall unit with multiple wired and wireless sources controlled by an included IR remote. It supports wav, mp3, flac, and other common digital formats for flexible media playback. Buyers needing more than 40 watts per channel or multi-zone distribution should consider other solutions. Those requiring modern Bluetooth codecs or Wi-Fi streaming will not find those features here.

Decora-Style Wall Mount Format

The decora-style chassis measures 5.800 inches in length and weighs .66 pounds, fitting standard wall boxes for a flush appearance. All connections remain concealed behind the plate, eliminating visible wiring and tripping hazards. On-face buttons and the wireless IR remote give full control over source selection and volume. This form factor decides whether the unit matches your existing wall-plate layout and space constraints.
