Monoprice 143243 Bluetooth 5 adapter

The Monoprice 143243 adds Bluetooth 5 to any audio device using a 3.5 mm aux or optical S/PDIF connection. It works as a receiver to stream from a phone to a legacy system or as a transmitter to send audio to Bluetooth headphones or speakers. Multipoint lets two devices connect simultaneously for easy switching.

Check your audio connections and power source

Verify that your equipment provides either a 3.5 mm auxiliary input or an optical S/PDIF port for the wired link. The unit draws power from its built-in rechargeable battery, so ensure a USB charging option is available. Confirm your source or sink devices support Bluetooth pairing for the intended transmitter or receiver role.

Battery life and wireless range in daily use

The internal battery delivers up to 25 hours of playback on a full charge. Bluetooth 5 maintains a stable link up to 32 feet (10 meters) indoors. Supported codecs include AAC, SBC, Qualcomm aptX, aptX HD and aptX Low Latency for synchronised audio with video.
