Three-Speaker Wall Plate

The Monoprice 103538 wall plate provides gold-plated binding posts for three speaker connections in a single-gang footprint. It accepts banana plugs, spades or bare wire on both front and rear faces without any soldering. The coupler-style design suits whole-home audio runs or home-theatre zones where a clean, flush termination is required.

Passive Thermal and Power Profile

As a passive copper and gold connector assembly, the plate generates no heat and draws no power during operation. Signal integrity relies solely on the corrosion-resistant gold plating and the mechanical contact pressure of the chosen termination method. No active cooling, fan noise or power budget considerations apply to this component.

Mounting and Connector Practicalities

Installation requires a low-voltage mounting bracket, which is not included in the package. Centre-to-centre spacing between the binding posts measures .8 inch and matches Monoprice banana plugs identified as PID 2944 and 2945. The uniform front-and-rear connector style simplifies wiring consistency, though colour tone may vary slightly between production runs.

Questions about this item

How do I mount this wall plate and what is the step people often miss?

It requires a low-voltage mounting bracket which is not included; install that bracket in the gang box first, then secure the plate to it.

What maintenance or replacement will this plate need later?

The gold-plated binding posts are corrosion resistant and require no routine maintenance; the plate itself has no moving parts to wear out.

What spacing limit shows up first when connecting three speakers side by side?

The binding posts are spaced 0.8 inch centre-to-centre, so only banana plugs or spades that fit that pitch — such as PID 2944 or 2945 — will sit side by side without interference.
