Recessed HDMI & RJ45 Wall Plate

This single-gang wall plate mounts flush to the wall and provides a female-to-female HDMI coupler alongside a female-to-female Cat5e RJ45 coupler. It lets you run HDMI and Ethernet cables inside the wall and connect them to external patch cables at the plate. The HDMI coupler supports full High-Speed operation and all HDMI features with gold-plated contacts. The RJ45 coupler provides a Cat5e pass-through for Ethernet connections.

Installers running in-wall HDMI and Ethernet

The plate suits home-theatre or office installations where a clean, recessed connection point is needed for both video and network cables. It requires a standard single-gang electrical box and in-wall rated cables to meet fire safety codes. Builders who only need HDMI or only need Ethernet will find single-purpose plates more economical. Anyone without access to an in-wall cable run cannot use this product.

Female-to-female HDMI High-Speed coupler

The HDMI coupler is the deciding specification because it determines whether the plate can pass the video signals your equipment requires. It handles full High-Speed bandwidth and all HDMI features without active electronics. If your installation demands a higher bandwidth class than the coupler provides, this plate will not work.

Questions about this item

Do I need in-wall rated HDMI and Ethernet cables to use this wall plate?

Yes, for safety you must use cable rated for in-wall, riser, or plenum use when running cables inside the wall; failure to do so could create a fire hazard.

Will the HDMI coupler pass 4K HDR signals from my existing source to the display?

The plate supports full High-Speed HDMI operation and all HDMI features, so it will pass 4K HDR provided your cables and devices also support those formats.

How can I verify both couplers are working after installation?

Connect a known-good HDMI source and display to confirm video and audio pass through, then plug a live Ethernet link into each side of the RJ45 coupler and check for network connectivity.
