Recessed Media Box with Magnetic Cover
The Monoprice 148606 is a multi-functional in-wall solution designed to conceal TV connections and media devices for a streamlined appearance. It suits homeowners and installers seeking a professional, organized setup behind flat-panel displays or entertainment centers. The magnetic cover provides secure closure while allowing easy access to internal components when needed. This new unit weighs 4.75 units and includes mounting hardware for immediate installation.
Limited to Non-Powered Installations
This media box is supplied without an integrated power receptacle, so it cannot supply electricity to mounted devices on its own. Users must route separate power cabling or rely on external power sources for equipment placed inside the cavity. The two large knockouts accept USB pass-through connections, yet the box itself adds no active circuitry or surge protection. Buyers needing a powered outlet bridge will require a different product.
Bracket Mounting for Samsung One Connect
The included brackets and two 30-inch hook-and-loop fasteners are specifically sized to secure a Samsung One Connect box or similarly compact TV power modules. This dedicated mounting pattern determines whether your specific device fits without modification. Installers with larger streaming boxes, AV receivers, or non-standard power bricks should verify dimensions against the bracket spacing before purchase.
