Select Series Dual Port Adapter

The Monoprice 15244 adapter connects a USB-C laptop to an HDMI display while passing through power. It suits mobile professionals who need a second screen without sacrificing battery life during extended sessions.

HDMI 3840x2160p @30Hz and 60 W power pass-through

The HDMI output supports resolutions up to 3840x2160p at 30 Hz for mirroring or desktop expansion. The USB-C charging port delivers up to 60 watts at 20 V and 3 A, keeping the laptop charged while the external display is active.

USB-C alternate mode and power delivery constraints

Video output relies on the host port supporting DisplayPort alternate mode; systems without that capability will not send a signal. The power pass-through is limited to 60 W, so laptops requiring higher wattage will not charge at full speed while the adapter is in use.

Questions about this item

Will the 15244 adapter work with my older laptop that only has a standard USB-A port?

The 15244 adapter requires a USB-C port on the host device that supports video output and power delivery; it cannot connect to a USB-A port even with an adapter.

How can I verify the 15244 adapter is delivering 3840x2160p at 30Hz to my external monitor?

Check your operating system display settings to confirm the external monitor is detected at 3840x2160 resolution and 30Hz refresh rate while the adapter is connected.

Does the 15244 adapter box include a USB-C charging cable or HDMI cable?

The adapter only includes the dual-port unit itself; a USB-C charger, USB-C charging cable and HDMI cable must be purchased separately.
