Monoprice Inc. 50ft 3.5mm Stereo Male to Male 22AWG Cable Gold Plated Black

50 ft 3.5 mm stereo cable

This 50 ft 3.5 mm stereo cable connects portable players, phones and other audio devices to amplifiers or powered speakers. Gold-plated male connectors on both ends resist corrosion and maintain clean signal transfer. The 22 AWG conductors and full shielding reduce noise over the long run. It is built for permanent or semi-permanent installations where a short lead will not reach.

Installation and common issues

Push each 3.5 mm plug firmly until it clicks; a loose seat is the most frequent cause of intermittent sound or channel drop-out. The moulded strain-relief boots protect the solder joints when the cable is routed along baseboards or through tight gaps. Avoid sharp bends or heavy objects resting on the jacket, as the 22 AWG cores can fatigue over time. Route away from power cords to minimise induced hum.

Sustained-load behaviour

During extended playback the gold plating and shielding keep resistance and noise floor stable, preventing the gradual degradation sometimes seen with unplated contacts. The 22 AWG gauge handles line-level signals without measurable voltage drop across the full 50 ft length. Heat buildup is negligible at consumer audio power levels, so performance remains consistent for hours of continuous use.
