Stage-ready chromatic pedal tuner
The Monoprice 611220 chromatic pedal tuner fits a standard pedalboard and gives guitarists and bassists a dedicated footswitch for fast, silent tuning between songs. Its metal chassis and 39-segment FND display are built for regular stage use. Power comes from a 9 V battery or a 9 VDC adapter with a 5.5 mm/2.1 mm negative-tip plug, neither included. The pedal weighs 0.64 lb and measures 73 x 110 x 47 mm.
Tuning stability and signal routing
The tuner covers A0 at 27.5 Hz up to C8 at 4186 Hz with an accuracy of 1 cent and lets you calibrate the reference pitch from 436 to 445 Hz in 1 Hz steps. You can also apply one, two or three flats for alternate tunings. When the footswitch is engaged the normal 1/4 inch TS output mutes while the bypass output passes the dry signal straight through, keeping your rig live even while you tune.
Pedalboard integration and common issues
Two 1/4 inch TS jacks provide standard and bypass outputs, so you can choose whether the tuner sits in-line or on a parallel loop. A 9 V battery (6F22 or 6LR61) fits inside the enclosure, but the compartment can be tight for some brands. The 9 VDC jack expects a centre-negative 5.5 mm/2.1 mm barrel; using a centre-positive supply will not power the unit. Buyers who need polyphonic tuning or a buffered output should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item
Does the 39-segment FND display add noticeable heat or draw extra power during long sets?
The tuner runs on a 9 V battery or 9 VDC adapter and has no fan or lamp; the LED display draws minimal current so heat and power draw stay negligible all day.
What power source do I need to have on hand before this pedal will work?
You must supply a 9 V alkaline or heavy-duty battery (6F22 or 6LR61) or a 9 VDC adapter with a 5.5 mm / 2.1 mm negative-tip plug; neither is included.
Will the bypass output pass signal to my vintage amp unchanged while the tuner is active?
Yes — the bypass output ignores the tuner circuit entirely and routes the 1/4 inch TS input straight through, so older amps receive an unaltered signal even when tuning.
