8-Inch Passive In-Wall Subwoofer

The Monolith M-IWSUB8 is an 8-inch passive in-wall subwoofer built for home theatre and media installations. It fits within standard 16 wood stud walls and uses a polypropylene cone with rubber surround. The paintable magnetic grille blends into any décor. It requires an external amplifier to operate.

36 to 200 Hz Frequency Response

The driver reproduces frequencies from 36 to 200 Hz, covering the low-end foundation for movies and music. A sensitivity of 91dB allows the unit to reach usable volume with modest amplifier power. Spring-loaded binding posts accept bare wire or banana plugs for a secure connection. The passive design means no internal crossover or power supply is present.

Compact High-Excursion Driver for Bass Headroom

The high-excursion 8-inch woofer delivers ample bass impact for small to medium rooms without occupying floor space. Heavy-duty mounting tabs speed up installation in new construction or retrofit projects. The 15.64 weight reflects a solid cabinet that resists vibration. Larger rooms or reference-level playback may require multiple units or a larger driver.
