Monolith 142842 Cherry Wood Stand

The Monolith 142842 is a single cherry wood speaker stand designed to hold a centre channel or bookshelf speaker weighing up to 75 pounds. Its 32 inch height positions the driver at ear level for seated listening. The scratch resistant finish suits living room decor. Each unit is sold individually so buyers can purchase the exact quantity needed.

Adjustable Top Plate And Spikes

The top plate uses padded screws that adjust to isolate and angle the speaker for precise alignment. Adjustable floor spikes pierce carpet to decouple the stand from floor vibrations and resonances. These features replace basic fixed plate stands that cannot compensate for uneven floors or speaker toe in requirements. The upgrade is worthwhile when vibration control and driver aiming affect dialogue clarity or imaging.

Integration With Home Theatre Systems

The stand accepts any centre channel or bookshelf cabinet within the 75 pound limit and provides a stable pedestal without wall mounting. No tools are required beyond the included hardware for spike height and top plate angle adjustments. It frees shelf space and removes the speaker from surface reflections that can blur midrange detail. Buyers needing a pair for stereo bookshelves must order two units.

Questions about this item

What is the height of the Monoprice Monolith 142842 stand?

The stand measures 32 inches tall, positioning centre or bookshelf speakers at ear level for most seated listeners.

How do I level the stand on carpet using the adjustable spikes?

Thread each spike into the base until it penetrates the carpet pile and contacts the subfloor, then lock it with the jam nut so the stand cannot rock.

Will the cherry wood finish need refinishing or touch-up over time?

The scratch-resistant cherry finish is designed to maintain its appearance without refinishing; occasional dusting with a soft cloth is sufficient.
