Two-pack USB4 cable for power and display

This two-pack supplies two identical USB4 cables rated for 40 Gbps data transfer and 240 W Extended Power Range charging. Each 3 ft cable carries USB-C connectors on both ends and is certified by USB-IF for compliance with the USB4 specification. The pair suits professionals who need spare cables for docking stations, high-resolution monitors and fast-charging laptops.

Braided jacket and backward compatibility

A durable braided sheath protects the conductors from daily bending and connector strain. The cables remain backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4, USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 hosts and devices, so older peripherals continue to work at their native speeds. This breadth of support lets one cable type serve new USB4 gear and legacy equipment alike.

Plug-and-play with length and power limits

Installation is simple: connect each end to a USB-C port and the link negotiates the highest shared speed and power level automatically. The fixed 3 ft length restricts placement flexibility in larger workstations, and the 240 W rating only applies when both the charger and the device support USB Power Delivery 3.1 EPR; otherwise the cable falls back to lower power profiles.

Questions about this item

Will the braided jacket on this USB4 cable need replacing after heavy daily use?

The braided jacket is built for durability and USB-IF certification confirms it meets the structural requirements for long-term use.

What limits the 40 Gbps data rate during sustained transfers?

The 40 Gbps ceiling is the cable's rated maximum; actual sustained throughput depends on the host controller and device capabilities.

How much heat does the cable generate when delivering 240 W continuously?

The cable supports USB Power Delivery 3.1 Extended Power Range up to 240 W and is designed to operate within USB-IF thermal limits for that power level.
