Purpose and fit

The Montech Metal PRO 12 Black is a 120 mm ARGB case fan built for PWM control and pressure-focused airflow. It suits builders who want addressable lighting and a fluid dynamic bearing in a black frame.

Sustained load behaviour

The fan spins between 600 and 2200 RPM to deliver 76.2 CFM at a static pressure of 3.81 mmH2O. The fluid dynamic bearing maintains consistent speed and pressure during extended operation without the wear typical of sleeve designs.

Thermals noise and power

At full speed the unit produces 29.1 dB of noise while moving air through restrictive layouts such as radiators or dense meshes. The 4-pin PWM connector lets the motherboard scale voltage and RPM to match thermal demand.

Questions about this item

How loud is the Montech Metal PRO 12 Black when it runs at 2200 RPM all day?

The fan reaches 29.1 dB at its maximum speed of 2200 RPM, so it stays relatively quiet even under continuous load.

Does the 4-pin PWM connector on this 120 mm fan work with my motherboard's standard fan header?

Yes, the 4-pin PWM connector fits any standard motherboard fan header and allows speed control from 600 to 2200 RPM.

Can the 3.81 mmH2O static pressure of this fan push air through the dense fins of my older CPU cooler?

The pressure-focused design delivers 3.81 mmH2O, which is well suited for restrictive heatsinks and radiator fins.
