Carbide grit hole saw cuts cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass and composites with gulleted edge for chip clearance and side slot for slug removal, 1.75" diameter
The Morse MHSG28 is a 1.75 inch (44 mm) carbide grit hole saw built for hard or abrasive materials such as cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass and composites. It targets tradespeople and serious DIYers who need clean holes in materials that destroy standard bi-metal teeth.
Bi-metal hole saws dull quickly in abrasive media; the carbide grit edge on the MHSG28 resists wear in cinder block, cast iron and composites. The jump is worth it when you cut these materials regularly and want fewer blade changes and faster slug ejection through the gulleted edge and side slot.
The saw requires a separate Morse arbor — MA35PSNCT (139830) or MA45PSNCT (139847) — so verify your drill chuck capacity before ordering. Common issues are buying the wrong arbor shank size and forcing the saw without the pilot bit engaged, which walks the cut and damages the grit edge.

A separate Morse MA35PSNCT (139830) or MA45PSNCT (139847) arbor is required to mount the MHSG28 hole saw.
Thread the hole saw onto the selected Morse arbor until secure; the step often missed is forgetting to order the arbor separately because it is not included in the box.
Replace the hole saw when the carbide grit edge becomes dull and cutting performance drops in materials such as cast iron, cinder block or fiberglass.
