Cuts hard, abrasive materials with a carbide grit edge and gulleted design for chip clearance
The Morse MHSG38 is a 2-3/8 inch (60 mm) diameter hole saw with a carbide grit edge for cutting hard or abrasive materials such as cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass and composites. It is intended for trade professionals and maintenance crews who need clean holes in tough substrates. One saw is supplied per box.
A separate Morse arbor must be purchased to mount the saw; compatible models are MA35PSNCT (139830) or MA45PSNCT (139847). The carbide grit edge handles abrasive materials that destroy bi-metal teeth, but it is not suited for fast cutting in soft wood or thin sheet metal where a toothed saw is more efficient. The gulleted edge clears chips during the cut.
Mounting is straightforward once the correct Morse arbor is secured in the drill chuck. The unique side slot improves leverage for slug removal across various material thicknesses. The most frequent problem is attempting to run the saw without the proper Morse arbor, which prevents use entirely. Another issue is applying excessive feed pressure on hard materials, which can glaze the grit and reduce cutting life.

Choose the MHSG38 when you need a 2-3/8" (60mm) diameter hole in hard or abrasive materials such as cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass or composites; other Morse models cover different diameters.
The 2-3/8" (60mm) cutting diameter produces a finished hole of that size in the workpiece, with the gulleted carbide grit edge clearing chips and the side slot easing slug removal across various material thicknesses.
Use Morse MA35PSNCT (139830) or MA45PSNCT (139847) arbors; the arbor mounts the saw to your drill and transmits the torque needed for the carbide grit edge to cut through hard or abrasive materials.
