A 102 mm carbide grit hole saw for hard or abrasive materials such as cast iron, fibre glass and unglazed ceramics, with gulleted edge and side slot for chip clearance and slug removal
The Morse MHSG64 is a 4 inch (102mm) diameter carbide grit hole saw built for cutting hard or abrasive materials such as cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass and composites. It is intended for trade professionals and serious DIYers who need clean holes in these tough substrates.
The gulleted cutting edge clears chips while cutting, and the unique side slot increases leverage access across various material thicknesses to ease slug removal. These features reduce binding and speed up the job on abrasive surfaces. One hole saw is supplied per box.
A separate Morse arbor must be purchased; compatible models are MA35PSNCT (139830) or MA45PSNCT (139847). The saw will not function without one of these arbors, so buyers without an existing Morse arbor need to order one.
The carbide grit design is optimised for hard, abrasive materials and will not cut efficiently in wood, thin sheet metal or soft plastics. Users needing fast cuts in those materials should select a bi-metal or high-speed steel hole saw instead.

The carbide grit edge is not resharpenable; once the abrasive coating wears down from cutting cinder block, cast iron or fiberglass, the hole saw must be replaced.
The gulleted cutting edge clears chips, but the 102 mm diameter and carbide grit generate heat that limits continuous cutting before the edge dulls.
The carbide grit runs hot in cast iron; use cutting oil or water coolant to manage temperature and extend the 102 mm saw's working life.
