A 6-inch carbide-grit hole saw for hard or abrasive materials such as cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass and composites.
The Morse MHSG96 is a 6-inch (152 mm) diameter hole saw with a carbide grit cutting edge. It is built for tradespeople cutting hard or abrasive materials such as cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass and composites. One hole saw is supplied per box and a separate arbor must be purchased.
Switch to this saw when cutting abrasive materials dulls conventional teeth quickly. The carbide grit edge resists wear in cinder block, cast iron and composites, while the gulleted edge clears chips during the cut. A unique side slot improves leverage for slug removal across various material thicknesses.
The carbide grit cuts by abrasion, so it is unsuitable for soft woods, plastics or metals that require a toothed blade for clean shearing. Cutting speed is slower than toothed saws in thin sheet metal. The saw requires a Morse MA35PSNCT (139830) or MA45PSNCT (139847) arbor, which is not included.

Use Morse MA35PSNCT (139830) or MA45PSNCT (139847) arbors, sold separately, to mount the saw on your drill.
Thread the chosen arbor into the saw's back thread, tighten the set screw firmly, then engage the pilot drill; the step often missed is securing the set screw before cutting.
Replace the saw once the grit wears smooth and cutting speed drops noticeably in cinder block, cast iron, unglazed ceramics, fiberglass or composites.
