Motoforti Backup Camera for Ford Edge 2015-2018

This replacement rear-view camera fits Ford Edge models from 2015 through 2018 using the OE reference F2GZ19G490A. It is a non-OEM accessory built with a plastic and metal housing that resists rust and corrosion. The unit provides a wide-angle view for parking and reversing manoeuvres. It ships as a single camera module ready for direct fitment.

Factory Connector Limits Installation

The camera uses a six-pin factory-style connector that plugs straight into the vehicle's existing wiring harness. No drilling or bracket fabrication is required, so installation time is minimal. This direct-replacement design means the part will only work on vehicles equipped with the matching OE socket and pin layout. Builders without that specific connector cannot use this camera.

OE Number F2GZ19G490A Confirms Correct Fitment

The sole specification that decides compatibility is the OE part number F2GZ19G490A printed on the original component. Buyers must verify that number against their vehicle before ordering because the camera is shaped and keyed for that exact application. Without a matching OE reference the connector will not seat and the camera will not function.

Questions about this item

Is this camera a direct replacement for the original unit on my 2017 Ford Edge?

Yes, it is a direct replacement with a 6-pin factory-style connector that plugs into the existing wiring on 2015-2018 Ford Edge models without drilling.

What does the wide-angle design actually show on the screen?

The high-resolution lens provides a broad field of view behind the vehicle, covering blind spots to help you park and reverse safely in tight spaces.

How does the 6-pin connector limit installation options?

The 6-pin connector matches the Ford Edge factory harness exactly, so installation is plug-and-play; no adapters or splicing are required for 2015-2018 models.
