Collector-Scale Police Van

This 1/24 diecast replica of the Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Police Van wears authentic "Polizei" livery in dark green. It is built for adult collectors who value officially licensed models with true-to-scale proportions. The piece arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Sustained Display Presence

The model uses a diecast metal body with select plastic components to maintain structural rigidity over years on a shelf. Real rubber tyres resist flat-spotting better than hollow plastic alternatives. Opening rear gate hinges are engineered for repeated operation without loosening. Detailed interior and exterior surfaces retain crisp lines without sagging.

Thermal Silence and Zero Draw

As a static display item it generates no heat, emits no noise and draws no electrical power. Diecast construction feels cool to the touch under ambient room conditions. No batteries or external supply are required for any feature. The model remains inert regardless of how long it stays positioned.

Questions about this item

Does the diecast model generate any noise, heat or power draw when displayed all day?

No — it is a static 1/24 scale replica with no motor, electronics or battery, so it produces no sound, heat or power consumption.

What else must I already own for this Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Police Van to work?

Nothing — the model arrives fully assembled in its original box and requires no tools, batteries or additional accessories to display.

Will the 79574 model fit alongside older 1/24 scale diecast vehicles I already keep?

Yes — at roughly 7 inches long, 2.75 inches wide and 3 inches high it matches standard 1/24 proportions, so it lines up with other 1/24 scale pieces on the same shelf.
