  • Power Plus connector draws host power so no extra adapter is needed
  • EAS integration works with Checkpoint security tag systems
  • Designed specifically for FIPS 3578 cradles
  • Supports charging of 4278 and 6878 scanners even when host is off

Purpose-built POS cable

The Motorola CBA-U27-S09EAR is a 9 ft straight shielded USB Power Plus cable with an EAS connector. It is designed for retailers integrating Checkpoint electronic article surveillance into their checkout lanes. The cable connects supported cradles directly to the host system.

Cradle-specific integration

This cable is only used on FIPS 3578 cradles. It eliminates the need for an external power supply on the CR0078-SC unless the host is powered off while 4278 or 6878 scanners still require charging. The straight shielded design supports reliable data and power delivery in fixed installations.

EAS and power combined

The integrated Checkpoint EAS connector allows a single cable run to handle both scanner communication and security tag deactivation. The Power Plus interface supplies charging current to compatible devices without a separate adapter when the host remains on. This reduces cable clutter at the point of sale.

Which cradle must I already own for the CBA-U27-S09EAR cable to function?

It is only used on FIPS 3578 cradles and works with CR0078-SC without an external power supply unless the host is powered off while charging 4278 or 6878 devices.
