Compact business radio set

The Motorola CLP1080e two-way radio two-pack supplies clear voice communication for small teams in retail, hospitality or event roles. Each unit weighs very little and clips to a belt so staff stay mobile during a full shift. Eight channels keep separate groups from talking over each other. The analog design avoids complex menus and works with existing fleets.

Up to sixteen-hour battery life

A rechargeable lithium-ion cell powers the radio for up to 16 hours under normal use, covering most double shifts without a mid-day swap. The included single-unit chargers replenish the packs overnight. One watt of RF output keeps the signal strong across up to 100,000 sq. ft. or ten floors while the MIL-STD-810 C, D, E, F & G rating confirms durability against drops, dust and moisture.

Eight-channel analog operation

The single specification that decides suitability is the eight-channel analog architecture. It fits businesses that need simple push-to-talk coordination without digital trunking or encryption. Buyers who require more than eight discrete groups, digital privacy features or a display for text messaging will need a different platform.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the two radios so they talk to each other on the same channel?

Both units ship pre-programmed to channel one; press the PTT button on each radio to confirm they transmit and receive on that channel before deploying them.

What part will I need to replace first after daily use?

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is rated for up to 16 hours per charge and will be the first component to require replacement as its capacity fades.

At what distance does the signal start to break up inside a large building?

Coverage is specified up to 100000 sq. ft. or 10 floors; beyond that range the 1-watt UHF output typically loses clarity through dense walls.
